Summer Snow

We get our share of weather in Maine. It goes from too cold in May , to too hot in early June ,with the requisite bugs and humidity, in the span of two weeks. It's no wonder that Maine has produced just a handful of MLB players, and no golf or tennis players of any note... just unreliable for outdoor activity most of the time. This painting depicts a freak summer storm that dumped enough hail, under the down-spouts of our house, to form softball sized hail-balls, which I tossed at passing cars. But Living in Maine for 15 years had caused my throwing skills to atrophy , so I missed . "storm Approaching Castine Yacht Club"  24x48 oil on canvas. The kids don't seem too concerned.
